Are you a new to the country boy life and wanting to be a fisherman that is wanting learn how to be a successful fisher in the state of Georgia and even nation wide in the United states? These tips may not always work depending on many different reasons including whether, water clarity, and even time of the day.
No mater where you are fishing every fisherman wakes up super early even after a long day of practice fishing and checking the lake or pond out the day before to prepare what to you and what time to start. Fishing doesn't have a set season but the warmer the weather the more active the fish are. The warmer the wether the warmer the water is so the fish will be in shallow water and top feeding more. Durning the fall they are a little deeper in the water but will still hit late evening and early morning top water. When it is winter the water is cold and the deeper the fish go the warmer the water gets, so they go as deep as possible to stay warm. The warm water temperature cause fish to come to the top because opposite of cold water when the water is warm the deeper the fish goes thecolder it gets so they usually stay up top to stay in the warmth.
Each fisherman has a secret weapon when it comes to catching the wall hanging large mouth bass.
The big bass usually stay at the slope of lakes and ponds. The slope is where the pond or lake starts to get deep and a pretty fast rate. They stay near the slope to eat all the baby fish that are adventuring for the first time to deep water. The bait to use for a large mouth bass
I use a different bait every time I fish; I may even change bait every 10-15 minuets based on how that certain bait is working. I usually try slow top water early morning when it is a cool crisp summer morning. As the day progresses and the water warms up you will want to slowly change from top water to a chatter bait or buzz bait. Once the heat finally takes full effect I use a slow trick worm or brush hog depending on the water clarity. The following are things I keep with me every time I go fishing.
- Tackle box
- Fishing License
- Knife
- Extra Fishing line
- 3-4 fishing poles
- Top water
- Buzz bait
- Chatter bait
- Curved size 7 self setting hooks
- Trick Worms
- Net
- Weights
- Dye
- Garlic scent
Proper techniques to catching a big large mouth bass
While fishing make sure you always 1) use cation of you surroundings 2) Make sure you have you license 3) Be prepared to have a good fight with a wall hanger.
Always have several spots scouted out and prepared to fish
I always watch the weather the night before a fishing trip to check every single one of my locations to see what spot will have the best luck and best conditions to catch a wall hanger. Don't always trust the radar always check the wether the morning you wake up at every location you have that you can fish.
How to win the battle and get a wall hanger in the boat or on land
When you feel a bass tugging the line don't just yank the line let the fish play with the line. When you look at the line and its supper tight then yank the line and set the hook. Once the hook is set the fish will start fighting. Whatever you do try your best to keep the bass from jumping out of the water. When a fish jumps out of the water there is a higher chance of the fish shaking the hook out of its mouth. If you are in a boat keep the fish low and not jumping out of the water but let the fish tire out, then pull the fish arm distant from the boat and put your finger in his mouth and grab him. If you have a second person with you to help get the fish in the boat let the second person use the net get the fish out of the water.
Stay safe and remember to always have fun
Fishing is the best way to relax and to get things off your mind. I have went fishing a couple times just to relax and to calm down. Every-time it helps. Fishing is the best outdoors sport to this day that you can do at any time. Unlike hunting fishing doesn't have set dates that you can fish or not. You are welcome to bass fish any time of the year in any pond or lake as long as you have permission to fish that pond.
